Labor day, also known as workingman's holiday, is the day in honor of the worker. It's a holiday dedicated to you and everyone in respect and appreciation for the work you do in or outside your home.
The first Labor day was celebrated in New York City in 1882. It's also viewed as the official end of summer. Although the Fall equinox is still a few weeks away.
